Bimbo Canada and Tel-jeunes are launching a joint initiative in METRO grocery stores
Tel-jeunes and Bimbo Canada are teaming up to launch an initiative that combines solidarity and well-being in support of Quebec teens as they return to school. From August 7 to September 4, every purchase of Pom, Bon Matin, Villaggio, Vachon, Hostess, Little Bites and Takis products at participating METRO grocery stores will be transformed into a gesture of generosity.
An essential partnership to meet the needs of teenagers
This strategic partnership aims to raise essential funds for Tel-jeunes, and allow us to respond to the expected increase in contacts on our lines at the start of the school year.
This year, more than 40% of our interventions with young people have concerned mental health problems, and the number of calls from parents in crisis, totally helpless in the face of their child's suffering. Our intervention team is also facing increasingly complex situations, with a marked increase in the number of suicide assessments (the trend has doubled in five years).
It is in this context that Tel-jeunes must continue to act as the number one safety net for Quebec teens, and can only do so with the appropriate human and financial resources. Thanks to the partnership with Bimbo Canada, Tel-jeunes can hope to obtain them and thus strengthen its presence with young people at the start of the school year, a period that we know from experience is very critical for teenagers and their parents.
In addition to financial support, this initiative will allow Tel-jeunes to raise public awareness of its mission, its services, and the importance of supporting Quebec youth.
Bimbo Canada, a committed brand
For Bimbo Canada, this partnership represents an opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to the Quebec community, by partnering with a cause that is dear to its heart. The brand wants to encourage consumers to actively participate, with it, in contributing to the essential mission of Tel-jeunes.
